Diabetes Care Update for Adult Family Homes
Mary Janci works at the University of Washington Roosevelt Diabetes Care Center and cares for patients hospitalized with diabetes at the UW Medical Center. She is a teaching associate in the Division of Endocrinology, Department of Medicine at the University of Washington. Mary is a Certified Diabetes Educator and is Board Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management.
Mary's talk will focus on these objectives:
•Brief review of pathophysiology in diabetes.
•Identify tools to evaluate and manage diabetes in older adults through discussion of case study.
•Identify the recommendations to ‘soften’ glycemic control in older adults in palliative care.
